The Escalante tent
A super comfy California King bed welcomes weary bones in this east-facing tent with a sweet view. A small futon makes this tent a good choice for those traveling with a bonus third person. Morning light and afternoon shade take turns hanging out with guests on the chill-worthy porch. Escalante is closest to Basecamp amenities and only 75 yards from washrooms. Named for the explorer Silvestre Velez de Escalante but honestly, stay here often enough and we’ll consider naming it after you.
Charge phones, laptops, cameras and keep lights on with an independent solar array. Keep warm in the shoulder seasons with hot water bottles, propane heaters, and electric mattress pads. And by all means, park right next to your tent.
