Hey, things happen. We get it. However, we are a small business with a limited season. If something comes up and you need to cancel or adjust, please level with us and give us as much time as possible to recover. If cancellation is within 3 days of your arrival date, we cannot offer a refund. If you need to cancel prior to that, we will work with you to find a reasonable solution.
Children are most certainly welcome, but BaseCamp 37° is in a wild desert environment that must be respected: cactus, sage and small cliffs dominate our property, along with all of the critters that call this place home.
All of our tents have a single king sized bed, please advise us at the time of booking if you desire extra bedding, and we will gladly walk you through the available options.
Pets are welcome. Please know it is a desert environment and most plants have prickers. Some dogs prefer to stay on the gravel paths, others explore at their own risk.
The Scary “S” Word
We have both kinds of snakes, good ones and bad ones. The latter has rattles and is venomous. We have seen an average of 2-3 rattlesnakes per season. Non venomous snakes are slightly more common, with about 10 sighted each season.
The Other Critters
BaseCamp 37° is home to a wide range of animals: lizards dart, tarantulas lumber, jack rabbits bounce, cottontails hop, coyotes sing, chipmunks scamper, pack rats pack, and bugs bug when it’s buggy. Larger mammals also live in this area; mule deer, antelope, cougars, bobcats, and a rumoured wolf. We’ve never encountered any of the larger animals on our property.
BaseCamp 37° does not permit smoking inside any of our accommodations.
Property-wide quiet hours: 11:00 pm – 8:00 am.
BaseCamp 37° facilities are reserved exclusively for guests staying at BaseCamp 37°
BaseCamp37° does not have additional sites for personal tents or RV’s, however, there is ample public lands in the area that have dispersed camping.
